Gabriel Allon Series

I was in Waterstones yesterday and picked up The English Girl and The Heist by Daniel Silva. I asked whether the series had to be read in order, and the member of staff looked it up on the system and said no. I was wondering what anyone on here though; is it better to read the GA books in order, or can I just jump in at The English Girl?

This can be a tough question with any series. Personally I won't read a series unless it's in order, but I'd say you'd probably be okay reading any one book if wanting to get a feel for this author. After that you'd probably want to go back and start at the beginning. I haven't read this entire series, but what I've read I've liked.
