Yep Landsurveyor, the fact that you saw it with your own eyes and confirmed it is as nothing compared to Kenny's knowledge. Doncha just love these people who make grand statements about things they know f**k all about?

My advice; buy it at that price, even if only to sell it on.

If that price is right, you really should jump on it...buy some to resell...help pay for whatever devise you decide to get....I'm sure there'd be folks here interested in a good deal. If not here, there's always eBay!!!

Who the hell put the bee in your bonnet? I suggest you keep the personal attacks to yourself.

What the hell you know about it?

Let's see how it plays out eh?

I'm about as likely to take up one of your suggestions as I am to take up eating dog-shit for a hobby.

I know about as much as you - I just don't pretend otherwise.

If you don't like personal attacks, don't spout bollocks about things you know nothing about!

Thanks Penny, I don't know what with people like that.

Clearly there is something not right with the Reader/situation we were talking about with the OP before the rude interruption.

Look I don't know what your issue is, but you're the one that came in calling names and spouting profanity. I could care less what you think about me but if you keep up the current behavior it is you that is going to suffer for it.

I think I'll take a drive over to the nearest Wallyworld tomorrow & see what I find there! (No expectations, but just curious...) I guess it could have been a fluke in one store..an un-knowledgeable stock person's mistake. But I still think I'll check it out!!

Time out's over ....time to come back out & play!!! (Saturday nite & here I sit, downloading & chitchatting on MR...Hubby watching a Vin Diesel shoot'em'up ...whooee!)

My best guess is that it may have been miss-priced. Course that doesn't mean they wouldn't sell it to you for that price and that would be a h*ll of a deal.

And the model numbers, btw are PRS-300SC (silver), PRS-300BC (blue), and PRS-300RC (rose)

Dear LandSurveyor. The forum very occasionally bubbles with distemper and personal "disagreement". Going on post-to-distemper ratios, such spats are a rare occurrence. If such things are permitted to occur, they certainly should not be displayed within an Introduction thread, where the intent is, or at least should be, simple welcome.

Both Bilbo and Kenny will and have moved on from that little storm, and being fortunate to know them both, I know they certainly wish you as warm a welcome as I know they feel and hopefully felt upon their own arrival. As do I.

Welcome, LandSurveyor. Stick around, and you'll find greater depths of knowledge of ebooks and associated devices than likely you will find anywhere else, not to mention a depth of personality and community (even with its occasional "disruptions"...hey, it would be dull without them, likely ) that I hope you will find to be one of your comfortable internet abodes that you regularly stop in on for some help, to offer some, or just a friendly Lounge-side chat.

Cheers,
Marc

No, no, no. Please. As I said, I don't really know what that came from, but I'm still very interested in this "find" you made and would love to have you follow up on it.

Sorry for the "aside."

wow. Thats what I get for trying to stay away from MR for a few days.

LandSurveyor, Welcome to MobileRead. Its a great place to get info.....and learn about new products/techniques.

You won't want to judge us on the unfortunate squabbling you've witnessed.

Both members are usually very friendly and helpful.....I can only put it down to the full moon effect I've noticed lately.

Anyway, there are thousands of free books avaialbe here, and you don't even need a device to read them.

Take your time, do your research, and remember that any device you order from Amazon comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, just pay return shipping. Gives you lots of time to play with it. (there, thats my opinion!) The K2 refurbished is going for $219, with full warranty.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...on=refurbished

You can use Calibre with lots of devices. Have you seen his (kovid goyal"s) webpage?

http://calibre-ebook.com/

At any rate, enjoy the forums.
