IBooks display images

Dear all,
Do you know why IBooks auto crop the images into 2 parts when display images which are at the bottom of the page.

I layout image and description of it in to 2 cells of a table like bellow:
<tr><td><img src="images/1.jpg" alt="" /></td><td>Description</td></tr>

When I view it on IPad with IBooks it auto cut the images to 2 parts and display these 2 part on 2 pages.

If you know about this please give us some advices or the reason why.

Thanks and Regards,

Those two table cells ought to appear side by side rather than one above the other - is that what you intended?

Are you specifying the overall width of the table as a proportion of the page - eg <table width="100%">?

Shouldn't this thread be somewhere else?

Thanks for your reply MartinC!

Bellow is my explain:
No, I mean that "text and 1st part of image still in a line, 2nd part of image appear in another page". So these 2 cells still appear side by side, but the content of them auto crop by the reader, this make we got 2 line instead of 1 line.

Regards,

hi all,
i am new on this forum, found it by this thread.

I have same problem. At the end of page i have image in one td and text in second td. They are displayed one next to each. But image is cut to half. I use vertical-align:bottom so on first page i see upper half of image, on next page lower part of image an text. Tried to put page-break-inside: avoid on tr, but didnt help.

Any ideas?
