I decided to look this up.

From Wikipedia (so do with it what you will): Remember When (novel)

Remember When (2003) is a novel by Nora Roberts and J. D. Robb (the author, writing under two of her pseudonyms). The second half of the book is part of the In Death series, taking place between Imitation in Death and Divided in Death. The plot follows a diamond robbery, over a span of 56 years.

My take is that the 2nd part can either be read as part of the In Death series, or it can be read as a completion of the story about the diamond robbery. *Shrug*

I will be honest, I am completely and utterly shocked that you Jon would nominate part of a series that is the middle of a series, and then defend it when someone points that out.

This only because you have been such an incredibly steadfast proponent of never nominating one in a series if it's not the first, to such a degree that no explanation anyone ever gave you was good enough; you were adamant that no matter what, if it wasn't first in a series then it shouldn't ever be nominated and no explanation would ever change that for you.

So imagine my amazement and surprise at your nomination and defence of it. It seems that you must've had a change of heart to do that, and if so then I look forward to a new era where you support other novels in the middle of a series being nominated.
