Hey, this is cool!
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I didn't even realize that the Newseum had its website going. They've closed down to build their new facility and won't be open until '06. If you are in DC when it re-opens, you must go. It's the coolest museum you'll ever been in! |

Closed from now til 06?? What the hell are they building over there, a museum/particle accelerator??
I must confess, I've seen the (old) building in Arlington, but never found m'self motivated to enter. I'll now eagerly await aught-six. |

Yea, I don't know why they didn't keep their existing structure until the new one was built unless it was a money or lease thing.
Also don't know why you weren't compelled to enter. Freedom Park (in front of the former location honoring journalists who gave their lives) is really nice. The place was so high-tech and amazing already, I cannot even begin to imagine what they're going to come up with! If you're in DC, Freedom Forum continues to hold great events.
