Reading Google pdf books on the Sony Reader

I tried downloading a few books from Google Books in pdf format but I couldn't get them to display on my PRS 505. It's strange because all other pdf's work for me. Anyone else tried this?

They use JPEG2000 encoding for the images. Not compatible with most PDF viewers, including Adobe Digital Editions.

However, most of the googlebooks pdf files will convert very nicely using PDFLRF application! The resulting LRF files are huge, but they do allow you to read the Googlebooks on your Reader.

You'll need to experiment with several settings to get things you like: Split Page (I leave this turned off), Fit (I use Fit Height), Join Pages (I leave this turned off), I set the rotation to 0 (portrait mode) and set the Profile to Portrait and keep Thicken to 1 or 2. You may need to experiment with the Filter choices -- I use either Cubic or Castrom. I leave Smart Cut checked as well as Crop Sides I leave checkd.
