This is great! Wish it were more frequently than one book a month. Can't wait for my Kindle Touch and Fire!!! Probably intentionally announced before Barnes and Noble's big event on Monday. Nice move. Last edited by SCION; 11-03-2011 at 12:33 AM. |

Ah, you beat me to it. I wouldn't mind more than one/mo as well, but it's free and if you want to check it out, you don't have to wait for someone else to return it.

It's really tacky how they are pushing this feature on Kindle book pages now. It makes it look like the book is free but under in smaller print is the real price. In other words it's not subtle and kind of confusing.

i'd sure like to see a way to search the library ebooks, rather than having to go through page after page with only a few ebooks marked with prime.

Are the publishers allowing this?

Is this only available on the device? Can't look through the list on the web site? UGH. I'll probably never use it if that's the case.
Ok, just checked it out. Very cool. I think you can only borrow 1 title at a time, though. Oh....once a month! I hope that will change LOL Last edited by booklover6; 11-03-2011 at 06:55 AM. |

I wish I could find a way to browse the titles on computer too. Maybe it's just a way to force everybody to turn Whispernet on occasionally.
From the looks of it I think you have to have a Kindle device .... no apps and no Kindle for PC. |

Very cool benefit, Amazon is really doing a lot with Amazon Prime!
I wonder if it works if you are on another family member's Prime account. I do that and I get the free shipping benefit but not the free videos. The "Kindle Owner's Lending" books are not showing up free for me but I don't own a Kindle. eP |

I guess it is a good thing that I have a spare Kindle sitting at home since I read on my iPhone and iPad...
