Z-code games
Has anyone thought about running Z-code games (the Zork series, Inform games, etc.) on the PRS-600 using the touchscreen keyboard for input, or is it unfeasible?

I too would very much like to see this happen. I have "Frotz" (one of the best-known Z-code interpreters) running on my iPad and it's great to be able to re-play all the old Infocom games. |

Z-code is the primary language used for Interactive Fiction (IF) games - perhaps more commonly known as "text adventure" games. In the early 1980s, such games were enormously popular on personal computers. The company which dominated the genre was Infocom, which produced some 30 or so IF games.
Z-code is an interpreted, LISP-like language, which is highly portable, and hence ideal for hand-held devices. Z-code interpreters are available for pretty much every mobile platform, as well as desktop PCs. |

For the PRS-600 et cetera, we may be forced to homebrew our own Frotz port anyways (whether or not the PRS-*50 series get apps or not).

I have a clear recollection that, when the x50 range was announced, it was stated that you'd be able to run apps ON the reader. It is of course possible that my memory is playing tricks on me!

I suppose this goes to the heart of the question: what homebrew has been done so far using the PRS-600?

Since I don't speak Russian, I'll just wait here for something for the PRS-600 for me
