Bookmarks?

Can you tell me about the bookmarks on the PRS-505? Can you mark multiple places in one book? Any ability to highlight passages? Thanks in advance!

A bookmark in the 505 is just like a paper bookmark for a pBook. When you set a bookmark, you set a mark for a given page. You can have multiple bookmarks for a book, but only one per page. You cannot highlight any passages or select any of the text nor search within a book.

Also, each bookmark 'remembers' the font size and page orientation.

While the topic is open... if I set a bookmark for a book, and then remove the book from the reader, and say 5 days later put the same book back in, do I still have my bookmarks?

Short version: are bookmarks persistent? Are they stored in the book file, or in an internal database? If in a db, does the entry get removed when the book is removed? if not, how long does it stay around?

Yes, bookmarks are removed when you remove the book. However, if you made a bookmark on PC, it's copied when you copy the book to Reader.
