Kindle 2 in Canada - Can I buy now, pay later?
I'm interested in buying a Kindle, but right now isn't the best time for me to pay. Is there anyway I can order the Kindle, and it won't come on my credit card bill until next month, or even better, the next month?

Still recovering from Christmas purchases.

It's actually not that uncommon. Ever bought a car? "Don't pay until 2012!" Ever bought a TV? "Don't pay for a full year!"

Doesn't seem that strange that a device would boast a one-to-two month version of this.

You could probably find a credit card with a "no interest until 20xx", if you wanted to open a new cc. But personally I would just wait a month, not worth the hassle.

Except Amazon isn't in the business to defer payments. They are a retail establishment, not a car dealership.

As for the plans you mentioned........you get those only with excellent credit, or if your credit isn't so good, you pay thru the nose for financing.

Is a reader so important to have before you can afford it easily?

Nah.....you can download the kindle for pc app now.....(free) and buy as many kindle books as you want, and read on your computer.

When you do buy a Kindle, they will be there waiting for you to send them to your device.....

You will not find a dealer that does that. When you find a deal like that you will deal with a bank that will front you the money to give to the dealer and then the bank is the one that give you extra time to start payments...
