I think the possibilities are endless now. this is more than EE ever achieved. do you think also the Alex can be customised to run full android on its eink screen.
it will be fantastic to be able to choose your boot version. |

To date, I've managed to increase the rate of "android-to-eink" software by another 25% saving minimal CPU usage at the same time.
I also wrote a letter to offer cooperation to the company management, but not yet received a reply confirming their interest (or disinterest) in the integration of software. |

Congrats on your possible (VERY HOPEFUL) admission to the official software. I know it would be a very, very welcome addition. As well as all of your bug fixes. Especially those.

Hello Robot - you are doing an amazing job. I knwo you had stated through the thread the fixes you have done. Is it possible for you to list the fixes in one place, and the items that you are still workign on? This way we all can add to the list, and if you choose to incorporate the ideas that would be great. I also wondered how you will be packaging the the firmware for distribution? Also wondering with future Entourage updates, will you have a package that will install after the Entrouage updates? I know you are doing so much, I just wanted to let you know that so many individuals are looking forard to your software, and hopefully the software product manager for Entrouage will read this thread and take note with what you have done, so maybe in a release your modifcations can be incorporated. Thank you again, Brian

I have a question for robot: from what you have learn so far regarding running android on the eink side, is it possible to run an arbitrary application on the eink? Something like the way the reader or journal works. That is, keeping the android working independently on the LCD while running the application on the eink side

fgruber, possible but requered some work. I'm thinking about porting google Chrome browser on e-ink side but it will requre a lot of time.
pmbroth, most fixes about my own software... but when talking about EE's software in general I "know how" and so probably can fix: Touchscreen input issues. WiFi issues. PowerManagement issues. Also I allready sent them some info about how to fix international support in ePub and zooming in PDF a long time ago, but... |
