Right, back home, kids' playroom rearranged and tea eaten. Time for another themed quiz:
1. Who was the male lead in the 1997 film Conspiracy Theory? 2. What disaster of just over a century ago was, according to a book by Robin Gardiner, a massive insurance scam? 3. Who filmed the iconic footage of JFK's shooting that conclusively proves....nothing? 4. What was the name of Bobby Kennedy's brother-in-law who, according to some people, discovered Marilyn Monroe's body after Bobby Kennedy had had her killed (allegedly!). 5. What was the Philadelphia Experiment allegedly trying to do and to what? |

Wow. I didn't know that.
OK, here's a quickie, given the lateness of the hour. Using eight eights and addition only, can you make 1000? EDIT: Actually, there are three ways to do it if you don't just use addition. Extra points for the other two methods. Last edited by orlok; 02-19-2013 at 04:52 PM. |

Correct. That's the answer I was looking for.
Yes, that's one of the non-addition methods. I'll reveal the third method later today if no-one guesses it. It's a bit less obvious than the others. |

8x((8x(8+8))-((8+8)/8))-8 = 1000
