Apple are taking a riduclously long time to release a tablet. They say 2010 'maybe'. I'm not sure why they haven't released it, my guess is battery life on a color touch screen of that size is pretty shocking.

The thing about ASUS is that they are a mainly a computer hardware company, they can make high quality hardware and do it cheaply. They've made a great netbook in the past which ran linux, so this reader could be very very good, and will probably run some variant of linux or even android. Exciting!

the is exactly what the X0-2 from OLPC does. You can read a book overlapped to the two pages (The two sides are intentionally designed to be close together). You can also use one side for a touch key keyboard.
