GM cars with OnStar. The car has it's own phone number. You can use OnStar as a hands-free phone with your own cell phone or you can use the built-in phone. Don't know if we'll keep the service, we'll make up our minds towards the end of the 6 month trial period.

I agree with your thinking completely btw -- that is exactly why I have both a Droid X (personal) and an iPhone (work). I turn the iPhone OFF when I'm not on call.
