Hi, I am requesting a simple recipes for fofoa.blogspot.com
I have found two feeds
http://fofoa.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss
http://fofoa.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

Unfortunately I have no experience with python, so I would appreciate any Guru's that could help. Instead of learning python, I studied the monetary system, so I would be happy to explain the role of gold to you in exchange...

The blog is basically a series of long articles, perfect for the kindle. The author writes 3 to 5 articles a month, some of the articles can take a couple of hours to get through. The articles are followed by up to a couple of hundred comments.

I tried a basic DIY recipe simply adding the RSS feed, and it captured the comments, but not the articles itself.

So, I have a simple request for an ebook that simply has each article followed by the comments. The comments are nice, but optional.

If we look at the first RSS feed, the most recent articles in sequence are

I now have a working recipe

    title          = u'FOFOA'
    oldest_article = 90
    max_articles_per_feed = 100

    feeds          = [(u'FOFOA', u'http://fofoa.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default')]

This works perfectly on the command line with ebook-convert. I get a nice .mobi format that requires no additional tweaks & looks great in the kindle, it has all the articles & comments. The size of the ebook is approx 2.5M

However, if I cut and paste the recipe directly into Calibre and run the recipe I get an ebook that is missing all the articles, it does have the chapters for the articles, but not the articles themselves, nor the comments, and the book is only 0.5M in size

Thank you for using Spoiler tags. I tried your recipe from the GUI and it worked fine - 1.9 MB. Try it again.

Starson17 thanks for taking the time to test & reply. This is now the subject of a bug report #814348. The long and short of it is that I can get it to work on both the GUI & command line on Ubuntu (Natty) - 32 bit, but it only work on the command line with 64 bit machines (two different machines). I have a few other custom recipes and builtins that run fine.

Out of interest what OS/bit combination did you test it on?

The long and short of it is that I can get it to work on both the GUI & command line on Ubuntu (Natty) - 32 bit, but it only work on the command line with 64 bit machines (two different machines). I have a few other custom recipes and builtins that run fine. Out of interest what OS/bit combination did you test it on?
