iriver story doesn't display some croatian Characters (East European)

I have problem with my iriver story.

this is the only device that doesn't display some characters from croatian language.

on galaxy tablet and ipad and every smarphone epub's are displayed properly.

Ok these Characters are displayed ok : žš

And these not: č ć đ (question mark appear)

Ok im converting pdf to epub using Calibre and this works very nice, like i said on all other devices.

i have been doing some research and someone described that i have to embed some fonts directly to epub.

im using mac and i can't find these liberation font in Calibre Folder.

Can someone provide some step by step manual.
I'm trying to solve this since couple of days.

You can dowload the Liberation Fonts here:

https://fedorahosted.org/liberation-fonts/

Copy them afterwards into the mentioned folder.

What goes wrong? Did you manage to embed these fonts? Are they used in your book or is the system font still used? And have you changed your css-file correctly? I have the impression that the iRiver is very strict in this respect and ignores many things if the css has some problems.
