Yes, he did actually, For your Eyes only, is really a couple of short stories, Quantum of Soalce being one of them.

Sorry i should have clarified, I know he wrote a short story called that but taht story is very short and hardly involves Bond at all surely they arent doing an ebook version of that? but rather an ebook novelisation of the film. which is not obviously written or based on a Fleming story at all.

Its a book based on a film based on a title created by Ian Fleming...(and his characters too but still).

Ah, yes, now I see what you mean, and for sure the one included in this package must be the novelisation of the script for the movie. It's not really new that they release a book after a movie has been made tho. But I have no idea who is going to write it.
