From what I read LG needs some notice before it can ramp up production. So LG production should increase but I have been hearing rumors of nexus 4 coming to Indonesia and India from Jan so should increase demand as both those countries have large populations and no 4g networks so this is the best phone for them.

It should be up pretty soon since the 8-9 weekers are getting the device. Someone posted this:
Phone is finally on it's way and I should be receiving by the end of the day. 8-9 weeker.. can't believe it's been that long since I ordered the phone. For all those waiting to order - I hope they re-stock soon - the 8-9 weekers should be the last on the waiting list from the google play store (U.S). |

The British are jumping right in. What are they finding so compelling about this phone? |

Next after that is probably a 'clean' version of Android, without all the cruft added by other manufacturers and by networks. There are certainly other attractions, but price will be the primary one. Last edited by murraypaul; 01-21-2013 at 06:35 AM. |

^ The price, coupled with freedom and top specs.
Anyone can buy a cheap unlocked phone on Amazon, but not close to this price with the given specs. |

You could say so. Most manufacturers put updates on the back burner, they're more concerned with churning out new devices. And they are making themselves no favours by heavily skinning Android, it is more complex to sync upstream when you've made changes to the framework.

I would love a Nexus 4, I currently have a Galaxy Nexus.
Unfortunately the Nexus 4 won't run on Verizon's network and I won't switch. Hopefully the next Nexus has 4G/LTE and will run with Verizon. I do love the idea of a top end phone, off contract for a good price...especially since I wouldn't lose unlimited data that way I think Google is a little upset with Verizon since they never really promoted the Galaxy Nexus...it came out the same time as the Droid Razr and was just put aside. I thought I had read an article somewhere too that the Galaxy Nexus sold poorly and they were using those sales estimates when telling LG how many to produce. I'm waiting for a 32GB Nexus. Don't care what kind of cell radio it has, because I'll never use it as a phone. To me, it's a shirt pocket sized tablet.
