ImportError: No module named djvu

Hi all,

I'm new to Caliber and downloaded it to both sort my ebook library more effectively and convert some ebooks to a format readable by my ipad.

I started by trying to convert a .djvu to and epub and got the error below. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jay

I can't figure out why the plugin that's being called is from my temp file... shouldn't Caliber be storing these in its own directory? Temp files are cleared periodically...

That's a bug, fixed in next release. Though note that calibre can only convert DJVU files that contain actual text (files produced from an OCR program).

Wow - that's what I call hands-on management =)

Excellent to hear. When do you expect the next release to go live?

Sadly I am unsure whether the file contains text, but I believe it does. In any case, we shall see when the new release is launched =)

Cheers, and keep up the good work!

Hey,

Congrats =)

So, just to clarify: The bug fix that addresses the DJVU conversion issue has not been released yet, correct?

Thanks,

Jay

Bumping at MR is not considered polite in this forum. A feature will get created when someone wants to do the code.
Really Large donations to the developers might convince them... and then it might not

Also, someone has to know enough about the djvu format who can code in Python to go with Calibre.

Hey,

Okay I just tried it, and while it will output now it just outputs two pages of which one is blank and one is the cover image that I downloaded. I also tried to output to PDF and got the same result.

Any thoughts? Am I doing something wrong / should I start a new post?

Thanks,

Jay

Hi again - sorry, I wasn't aware that I was being rude. Etiquette varies from forum to forum =\

Apart from donating multiple organs and first born offspring, what is recommended? In a sense I am just asking "Am I doing something wrong or is the functionality not present?"

Thanks, and sorry again.

calibre can only convert djvu files that contain embedded text, not files that are colelctions of page scans.
