Because that will help them get their business back? The sad thing, is that someone could look at that and decide not to shop at any other Borders (or Borders affiliate) anywhere.

I doubt that. The meaning, I think, is pretty clear: You'll regret not having physical stores... deal. Bitter, but true.

Oh, I get their point, I'm just saying someone could be offended by it, and choose to "boycott", on principle. I know - I have one in my extended family. She can be a little boycott crazy at times.

They can't blame Amazon for their failure to keep up with buying trends.

I don't think Borders can legitimately claim that Amazon is the cause of its problems.

I know the staff at our local Borders blamed the rent: though they were in the same strip mall as both Linens and Things, and Circuit City.....

I wonder if a hundred years ago stores that sold buggy whips and paraphernalia put up signs that said:

No Restrooms.
Try the Ford dealership.

I suppose if bathrooms were the only reason people went into their store, they would close--or start charging for the bathroom.

I don't know why I would regret their closing, especially with that attitude.

I'm guessing that's true for most retailers that have closed. Commercial leases are very high in many places.

Borders and B&N drove thousands of small booksellers out of business, now it's their turn.

I also doubt they tore out their restrooms.
