Errors Adding Books After Update

I just updated Calibre to 5.34 and I'm having trouble adding books to the library. I'll 11 from the same series are generating the same basic error set.

Code:
calibre, version 5.34.0
WARNING: Errors while adding: There were problems adding some files, click "Show details" for more information

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Failed to add the file D:\Users\<me>\Downloads\Slayers\slayers-volume-3.epub to the book: Slayers: Volume 3
With error:

  File "calibre\db\cache.py", line 1577, in add_format

  File "calibre\db\backend.py", line 1627, in add_format
File "shutil.py", line 205, in copyfileobj
OSError: [Errno 22] Invalid argument
These books do get added to the listing still, and I can find their files in the library directory, but actually trying to interact with them generates errors about formats not being available, even thoguh I see the file in the database directory, and I got this for trying to convert to mobi for my Kindle.

Code:

The second error is probably because of the first. Calibre is seeing the books there, but, they are not valid. Epubs are zip files and calibre cannot open them. This is probably caused by the first error. The books might be invalid in the first place, or the copy error means the files are not copied into the library correctly.

The error, "OSError: [Errno 22] Invalid argument", is usually something to do with the filename or path. It could be Windows "protecting" directories it thinks you shouldn't touch. It could also be your username. If it has anything from the extended character set, that can cause problems.
