Alternative conversion tool
Is it possible to set calibre so that the conversion of a group of books from epub to kepub is done by kepubify instead of the default plugin?

There is no default conversion to kepub.

Unfortunately, there is no way to use kepubify on a group of books from a calibre library.

If you use linux you can try a bash script that recursively visits all the subdirectories of the directory where you keep the library you are interested in and converts all the epubs it finds with kepubify.

I have to ask, why do you want to this rather than use the Kepub Output plugin or the KoboTouchExtended driver? What do you think you will get out of kepubify that is better?

The Kepub Output plugin modifies the css in an uncontrollable way, and if the css is complex sometimes the conversion is wrong. Kepubify does not modify the CSS and the conversion result is predictable. This has been my experience.

Now for the Kobo Touch Extended. I was unable to use it. Or maybe not, I cannot say. There is no way (I don't know a way) to explicitly force Calibre to convert an epub with KoboTouchExtended.

Do you know a way to use kepubify with calibre?
