HELP ME!!! I could not power off my iLiad!

When I try to install 2.9.5 upgrade, my iliad became frozen. And now I could not even turn off power. It doesn't react on any pressed key. What to do???

There is a reset button on the back. Press it (e.g. with the stylus), then turn the iLiad back on.

Unfortunately, I've already tried it... many times.

It may be completely bricked, but if you have a CF or MMC card inserted try removing it first then resetting and powering on.

There is no visible feedback after pressing the reset button, as the display won't change!

The iLiad does not restart after pressing reset, even if you are used to it from every
other device that has such a button...

I've tried it... No I see orange light but nothing changed on screen.

Same here. After I installed the offline Wikipedia on my SD card, on startup, the progress bar gets filled up, I can log on via ssh/dropbear, but no contentlister, etc. My SD card is not mounted, and trying to
mount /mnt/card
results in the folowing error message:
mount: Mounting /dev/mmc1 on /mnt/card failed: No such device or address

I attached the output from dmesg. Could someone please post the same from a working iliad?

Sorry, false alarm - everything is back to normal now.
When I was playing around, I moved the file
/home/root/start.sh
which is linked to from
/etc/rc5.d/S99start

Now I know why it's there ...
