Sigil altering HTML without being told to?
I just installed Sigil (0.7.2) on my computer at work to try and fix a few things in an ePub I'm currently reading, but it appears to be adding problems to the file that weren't there until opened in Sigil (making a link out of the first couple paragraphs of each chapter). I didn't see anything to turn off (like Tidy in earlier versions) to keep this from happening. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere to keep Sigil from altering things? Sorry if it's something obvious, I haven't used Sigil in months.

Never seen it do anything like that.
Where did the (#..) details of those link addresses come from?? Was there an existing TOC or Foot note that had those ? and Tidy 'fixed' the broken link? What is the preference setting for the 'Clean Source' preference. FWIW I just use 'Pretty Print' mode |

Thanks Ducks. I turned things off in the preferences/clean source area and all is good. I just didn't know where to look as the last version of Sigil I'd used had those settings elsewhere (it's changed a lot).
The link code it was putting in was duplicated from the chapter heading which is a link that takes one back to the TOC. |
