Default Value for Custom Column (fixed set of permitted values)
Hi there
I just discovered the usefulness of the custom columns feature and am now using a custom column with fixed values (unread, marked, reading, read) for the status of books. Currently new books are blank. Is there a way to set one of the fixed values as default? [s]PS: Using N/A as 4th value isn't an option because once one of the actual options is chosen, you can't go back to N/A. An example of that being treating blank as unread and marking a book as a potential read soon, then later deciding to not read it in the near future afterall and wanting to put it back to unread.[/s] Nvm, it is possible, just not via drag&drop. BTW: blank is the same as "never set", which will be found with searching for #xxx:false. I suspect that this is what you intended for N/A. BTW2: you could use column icons or colors (preferences -> behavior) to make the empty cell more apparent. |
