calibredb list no subseries_index

hello all,

I am using last version of calibre.

I am trying to create a list of my ebooks using the following command :
Code:
calibredb list -f authors,title,series,series_index,*series,*series_index
as you will probably noticed, the last value does not exist : *series_index
the result is that I have a almost perfect list. my subseries are displayed, but not the number in the subseries

am I missing something ??

Possibly try catalog instead of list.

Or use the GUI to create a catalog of your books, dropdown arrow next to the conversion icon.

Good Luck.

catalog creation to format csv does not permit the adding of the subseries index

the options is just not there

I will try the command line catalog

no go,

this is the same, if I try the catalog creation via the GUI, there is no *series_index, there is #series though, but that are the same options that I find in calibredb list

I try this now :
Code:
calibredb catalog ./test.csv --fields=authors,title,series,series_index,*series,*series_index --sort-by=series_index
when I open the file I get
Code:
series_index,authors,series,title
so the orders is not there even

strange

I run
Code:
calibredb catalog ./test.csv --fields=title,authors --sort-by=series_index
and it still start by authors, so I guess it keep the alphabetical order. as it is a csv, it is not very important, I can swap columns in libreoffice

maybe another solution, create a custom column in the gui based on the subserie number ? would that be possible ?

P.S. I just found out the the custom column should be with a # and not a * in front, so #series will return the subseries but #series_index will not add the number
