3g online music
Hi all,
Im nearly kindle 3 user and i wonder if someone figured out how to listen online music on kindle 3 device? It supports Java maybe some online java radio player. Putty tunelling or some proxy trick. winamp remote client. Can i download mp3 from rapidshare and listen? thx for answers. |

No. It would be far too expensive for Amazon to pay for streaming audio via 3G.

Also, the sound quality wouldn't be great.
You'd probably get better results with something line an iPod Touch or an Internet-enabled smart phone. |

The Kindle plays MP3 files - really no way of telling where those mp3 files originated. As said, the sound quality is nothing to jump in glee over although it is certainly adequate for audiobooks. The Kindle's strength is in reading.
I imagine the rumored soon to be released Amazon Tablet will have streaming from the usual places - Pandora etc. - but will also almost certainly incorporate the Amazon Cloud player. I think it will likely be WiFi though or a 3G subscription, not free 3G. |
