Camera
Does anyone know when we will be getting an update to enable the camera and bluetooth?

Seems to be a State Secret.
If they told you, they'd have to kill you. |

Hmm... maybe I should reconsider my policy on pantsless computing?

yes...the pantsless computing thing may have to be revisited.
Has anyone noticed that all of the women who have their pictures as their avatar are all very pretty? There must be a genetic correlation to being eDGe enthusiasts and beauty. What do you think? ;-) |

Nope...I can't...but maybe if we use our eDGe's enough, we will all magically grow younger and better looking? That would be a great selling point if that were true. LOL

I guess that depends on the camera specs. Does anyone know what the camera resolution is? At low resolution some objects may not be discernable

I just gotta wonder why they don't have two cameras on the device. I swear I remember seeing something in the promo claiming that you can use the camera to record class lectures or something like that. Once I got the unit, I noticed that the camera is facing you (on the same side as the netbook LCD). So, you'd have to point your netbook (including the screen) at whatever you wanted to record. Seems a bit clunky to me.

Rotate the eDGe so the backs of each screen touch each other. Use the e-Ink screen to write notes or read the class' textbook, and the video camera would be pointing at the teacher, recording the lecture.

But with a book on it's e-ink screen, and not having to write on it, the eDGe can stay vertical without any major problems. Naturally this precludes the need of using a normal notebook for taking notes during a lecture.

Ummm...that's quite a series of assumptions: 1) that the avatars in question are accurate representations of the gender of the posters); 2) that the avatars are accurate representations of how the posters actually look; and 3) that genetic thing. Quite a lot of assumtions....

I knew I was born too early :O) - lectures would have been so much easier if I could've recorded the whole da..shed thing! I have been considering getting an eDGe for several days now ....
