Fond memories. I used to work in an office a few hundred metres beyond the end of the runway at Manchester airport, and get views like that every few minutes . (The planes, that is, not the beach!)

Kai Tak International (Hong Kong International Airport) was the scariest landing and take off I have ever had on a commercial flight, as we were landing you could actually see people on their balconies watching us pass, insane!

It is supposed to be one of the hardest airports to land at, or was until 1998 when it was closed.
