weird file on my kindle

Hi,

I've recently noticed a new file inside the documents folder on my kindle. It's called ".fuse_hidden...." (with a long string of numbers after "hidden")
It seems to have appeared recently and I have no clue how. Has anyone come across something similar? And can I delete it without repercussions?

Those files get created when files are deleted while software is still trying to access them. Usually by the ntfs-3g filesystem driver on Linux or OSX. If it's in your documents directory, you can safely delete them.
