T-Mobile's official statement:
Quote:
T-Mobile is investigating the reported disclosure of Paris Hilton’s information.

T-Mobile’s computer forensics and security team is actively investigating to determine how Ms. Hilton’s information was obtained. This includes the possibility that someone had access to one of Ms. Hilton’s devices and/or knew her account password.

Given the sensitivity of the situation, and to protect our customers’ information, we are not able to provide specific details of the investigation at this point.
In other words, they have no clue!

Actually, until they get all the details, they must be careful what they say.
With this statement, they are:
* Acknowledging that there was an incident
* Letting people know they are working to determine what happened
* Not overreacting but treating it professionally
* Letting people know that it is possible that someone "hacked" her device using other techniques (like physically tapping into the device, or tricking her into giving up her password, etc.)

I think the T-Mobile response was very appropriate even if they pretty much think they know what happened already.

I totally agree with Zire71Man.

I hate to continue this p!ssing contest (and, the other admins can certainly delete this post), but how can you call ME rude, and say I was " dissin' " you, when you handled yourself in such a childish manner by calling Morpheus a derogatory name?

The guy that hacked into Paris Hiltons' cellphone and published all her information on the internet, as seen on http://www.parishiltonmirror.com - gets busted.
