The day started out overcast, but the sun broke through a few minutes ago. It's about 50° F out there, but nice enough to sit in the sun on the deck with some tea and a good ebook.

It's been a very grey week and temperatures have halved compared to the week before. Today will also be a rainy day, though it isn't as dark as it was on Friday.

First real freeze of the season. Our temps last night dropped to about 30º -- my brother, about 20 miles north, had snow flurries this morning.

The temperature rebounded. It's sunny and in the 60s today, and the next few days are supposed to be just as nice, or nicer.

Geez, poohbear_nc! I wish you could have wrung a little more moisture out of this air before it hit us! We've got dark skies, heavy rain and gusty winds, but it's a bit warmer than the past few days.

Absolutely beautiful up here! The high temperature was 61º F but it was intensely sunny with only a slight breeze. A good afternoon to sit on the deck with a tea and a good read!

Of course, with no clouds the temperature is already dropping. We should get down to freezing by dawn.
