I have been perusing the forums (sounds nicer than lurking!) for a little while because I was an ebook wannabe. I have been using my iPod touch to read ebooks. I just dove in yesterday and ordered an Astek 5" Pocket EZ Reader.

Welcome! I think you'll find that you read a lot more and longer with a "proper" eBook reader. I read a lot online, but the eInk screens are so much easier to read than LCDs of monitors or cell phone type devices.
