Battery life is a bit weak with 3060 mAh vs the 4000 mAh of other 7" tablets; and it does not have an IPS display, so viewing angles suffer. But hey; for $190, I can overlook these shortcomings. |

I'm more just befuddled why Google insists people pay for 2 cameras and GPS in order to buy Angry Birds from them. Seems like it unnecessarily drives up the price of tablets and constricts their market.
Sincerely do not understand their rationale. |

You don't have to buy Angry Birds from them, there are other markets. But if access to the official Android Market would be for all everyone would expect that all the apps from there should work on their phones/tablets, and they would get frustrated when an app that requires camera and/or GPS doesn't work.

*Some* apps might not work without camera, so we will prevent you from getting *any* apps? Just so you don't get 'frustrated'? How considerate of them. That's like a car manufacturer arguing that since some people might use the rear-view mirror for vanity, causing a safety hazard, we're gonna go ahead and remove all mirrors from our cars. All in your best interests, of course. |

They are not preventing anyone from getting *any* apps. The access simply isn't out of the box. The manufacturer on the other hand might try to prevent access to the Market, and this is why people are rooting their devices.

They have different battery. They have different weight. They have slightly different design. Samsung's has the best screen and is smallest/thinnest tablet on the market (not limited to Android) Sony's has IR transmitter and can serve as universal remote. Sony's also has the most ergonomic shape (this comes from Galaxy Tab 10.1 owner) Some have 3G, some don't. They have different price. Quote:
And, cough, consumers, cough? Let me see: more choices, lower prices? |
