cnbc shows the teen who cracked the iPhone

Just in an interview in person in the CNBC studio with a teen that cracked the iPhone so it can be used on any network; seems the crack is hardware related, so cannot be propagated easily online not being software, but still..

And if the drm cops think this is not a good subject, come on, CNBC is the world premier business channel...

Apple should hire the boy. I am sure he has got a lot of good ideas up his sleeve how to improve the iPhone (and its security *lol*).

Hah! There's another thread on this very subject that links to an Engadget article where they have a video of the iPhone connected to a different network. According to them, the hack is software-based and only takes a few minutes to implement. Hmmm, guess I'll have to investigate a little further (not that I can use one over here ).
