So... jetzt habe ich mir die Python-Skripte angeschaut mit denen Calibre z.B. das deutsche "Spiegel Online" runterlädt.

Das Skript sieht so aus (ich habe den Originaltitel durch 'Mein Spiegel Online - German' ersetzt):

Laut diesem Skript sollten die Metadaten in Calibre dann so aussehen:

Titel = 'Mein Spiegel Online - German'
Autor = 'Darko Miletic'
Herausgeber = 'SPIEGEL ONLINE Gmbh'
Etiketten = 'SPIEGEL ONLINE, DER SPIEGEL, Nachrichten, News, Dienste, RSS, RSS, Feedreader, Newsfeed, iGoogle, Netvibes, Widget'

Nach dem Laden steht der Feed aber bei mir in Calibre mit folgenden Metadaten:

Titel: 'calibre 0.6.30 FfMvDl recipe out' ???? Wo kommt das her?
Autor: 'unbekannt'
Herausgeber: keiner
Etiketten: 'Nachrichten, Mein Spiegel Online - German' ???? Tag Nachrichten und "Mein"-Titel

Dies ist jetzt der Moment wo ich benötige!

Wer kennt Calibre so weit, dass er mir sagen kann warum das so umgesetzt wird, bzw. wo diese zusätzliche Konvertierung passiert?



Edit: Die ???? Angaben sind Kommentare, die nicht in den Metadaten stehen.

WIESO? ist das bei mir anders? Das Skript wird doch bei Dir auch in etwa so aussehen?

Da muss doch noch irgendeine Konvertierung laufen, die das verhunzt! Ich habe Calibre einfach so installiert ohne etwas zu verändern. Wo wird das umkonvertiert?

Ja, bei allen funktioniert's - bloss bei mir nicht!

Aber zumindest zeigen Deine Screenshots, dass es nicht am Mac OSX liegt, denn das nutzt Du ja auch, wie man sieht.

Ich weiß nur nicht was da bei mir schief läuft. Meine Calibre Installation ist absoluter Standard. Ich habe nichts an den Plugins oder den Konvertierungen geändert. Calibre läuft so wie es das Setup installiert hat, d.h. ich habe die App einfach in den Programme Ordner kopiert. Mac-like halt.

Aber mtravellerh will ja morgen mit Kovid sprechen und der müsste ja eigentlich wissen was da schiefgehen kann... ***HOFF***

Eben weil hier OSX 10.6 SL läuft, die Screenshots.

Lösche Calibre doch noch mal vom Rechner. D.h. App in den Papierkorb und auch die Dateien in :
~/Library/Preferences/calibre
Und die Datei:
~/Library/Preferences/net.kovidgoyal.calibre.plist

Dann die neueste Version laden und... (Daumen drücken)

Ja, das ist eine Idee!
Ich schaffe den Test aber heute nicht mehr. Muss jetzt noch aus dem Haus um meinen Sohn abzuholen (er hat noch kein Auto).

Ich teste das morgen (evtl. auch noch heute nacht) und geb' Bescheid!

So... jetzt klappt es! StDo's Idee mit dem kompletten Löschen von Calibre und neu installieren hat geholfen!

Habe es gerade probiert und mehrere RSS-Feeds geladen. Alles OK nun! Super!

Wobei ich immer noch keine Ahnung habe was da vorher geklemmt hat. Ich habe Calibre gerade genauso installiert wie beim ersten Mal. Der einzige Unterschied: Bei der Frage welches Gerät man besitzt, habe ich nun den Default Eintrag gewählt und bei der ersten Installation hatte ich damals Apple/Stanza gewählt. Kann schon sein, dass da irgendeine Konvertierung noch zusätzlich eingestellt wurde!?

Auf alle Fälle meinen herzlichen Dank an mtravellerh und an StDo für die Geduld und die Hilfe!

@ mtravellerh: Du kannst morgen ja trotzdem mal Kovid fragen ob er sich da einen Reim drauf machen kann.


Btw, nun müssten wir nur noch beim Pocketbook den News Ordner auf die Speicherkarte umbiegen können...

OK, ich weiß nun wo der Fehler lag!

Ich hatte in den Calibre Einstellungen alle "Metadaten lesen Plugins" ausgeschaltet (soviel zu meiner Bemerkung das ich nichts an den Plugins oder Konvertern geändert habe ) und das ist der Fehler.

Nachdem die Neuinstallation ja erstmal einen Erfolg gebracht hatte, habe ich nun die Lesen-Plugins wieder ausgeschaltet, wegen dem Zeitvorteil beim Verbinden mit PB360. Danach trat der Fehler wieder auf.

Es liegt am Metadaten-Lesen-Plugin für EPUB-Dateien. Dieses Plugin darf nicht ausgeschaltet sein, sonst geht das Schreiben der richtigen Metadaten für die RSS-Feeds schief. Evtl. liest ja Calibre nach dem Erzeugen der Nachrichten-EPUB-Datei ja die Daten erst aus dem File? Wäre gut wenn mtravellerh morgen Kovid deswegen mal fragt.

Auf alle Fälle war der Tipp mit der Calibre Neuinstallation goldrichtig, sonst wäre ich da nie drauf gekommen.

Eine Frage an die Calibre Experten hier:

Kann man eigentlich Calibre beibringen, die RSS-Feeds abweichend von der Voreinstellung für alle Bücher (bei mir ist da für das PB360 die 'Speicherkarte A' eingestellt und damit landet alles auf der microSD-Speicherkarte im PB) immer im Hauptspeicher des PB abzulegen?

Immerhin erkennt Calibre ja das PB360 als solches und weiß das die RSS-Feeds in dem Unterordner "news" abgelegt werden müssen.

Evtl. kann man Calibre ja beibringen, dass eben die Nachrichten nicht nur nach "news" müssen, sondern für das PB360 nach "news" im Hauptspeicher des PB.

@ mtravellerh: Kannst Du Kovid deshalb mal ansprechen? Danke!

Edit: Wäre natürlich gut wenn das dann über die Setting konfigurierbar ist!
