Syncing ebooks iphone to ipad

Dear all

I have 500-600 ebooks. all have been converted using calibre to Epub, I have been using Bluefire, Kobo, & stanza to see which is the best for me.

I know if you purchase books using Kindle you can sync the last page read using the kindle app, But can you sync books you have installed yourself using any app.
I'm going to try Nook, which mentions last page sync, but is it only purchased books?

I remember reading a thread about this awhile back but cannot find it.
my library is stored in a dropbox account, which is great,

any info????

I don't know about the other apps because I thoroughly enjoy using iBooks. And iBooks allows you to sync from your iPhone to your iPad with no problems and not just books purchased in the iBooks store, all of your books. It does everything I need.

I haven't used Ibooks for a while, I've seen an update and will give it a try, I think the biggest problem is online storage, if I don't purchase books from an individual online shop, then why should they keep copies of other books I have. I can imagine how much storage would be used, if we all had multiple copies of our books.

I'll give ibooks a shot later today

Have you tried calibre? It is awesome! I don't rely on a retailer to store my books, I feel more secure having them all stored myself.

Hi
I used ibooks last night, and the bookmark sync seems to be ok, the sync collection is not working well though, but I have 4.0 for 3GS, & 4.2 for Ipad.

more to follow
