Yea, but that actor looks 15 to me. Your right about Kahlan... Terry really makes her sound like a godess that would make Athena and Aphrodite plain.

The ones they cast as Richard and Kahlan just do not look the parts. I pictured Richard more as the rugged type and Kahlan as better looking. If covers come out with them on it for new print runs, it won't work (IMHO).

ScFi Channel has a bad habit of making good series (except NuBSG), promoting the heck out of then and then dropping them. Is this going to be such a series?

I think I saw that it will be on ABC on saturday nites also. Maybe on both?

Does anyone know if the Game of Thrones by JRR Martin is still planned as a TV series ? I haven't heard nything about that for awhile.

Could very well be, ABC Studios seen at the end of the trailer and it is a syndicated show.

It is not going to be on Sci-Fi, just because the sci-fi website has a news article on it does not mean it is going to be on that channel

Also it is not going to be on ABC.

Disney-ABC syndication are the ones funding the project.

It is going to be on channels like WGN and the CW.

Why would it not work. for people who never read the books, the characters they see on TV will be what Ricahrd and Kahalan look like, so when they find out the show is based on a book and go look for the book, they will see what they are familar with.

It is not like they are going into the TV show with a notion of what the characters "should" look like.

It looks like you're right about the SciFi channel. I couldn't find it on the fall schedule for the CW but I did find it for WGN.

well the channel will depend on the area. Syndicated shows are bought by whatever network wants to show it.

There is a thread on my site that lists known channels.

Dresden Files, Stargate, and Stargate: Atlantis come to mind. It looks like it's not going to be on Sci-Fi though, fans can be thankful for that.

WE are still waiting on Disney to give us an official list of stations. The mouse can be kinda slow on occasion.

Well for one thing we've had the characters on the covers and they don't look like the ones in the TV series. For Richard, I would picture him as more of a younger Kevin Sorbo type. Not sure of Kahlan yet.

you really do not get it.

People who never read the books, but just saw the TV show,will not have seen the old covers, nor would they have any preconcieved notions of what the characters "should" look like.

So if they see the show and then want to check out the book, a cover with what they are used to would attract them.

The new covers aren't for people who already own the books and read them, they are for new people coming to the books from the tv show. You know kinda like what they do with movies.

I mean do you really not understand this or do you just want to pick anything related to Terry apart because you can't have an e-book right away and your still mad?
