Problem after upgrading PW to 5.3.5

After i updated to this version, the search function doesn't work anymore. If i want to search for something in a book it gives me 0 results every time..

As the implementation of this function was changed, it could be that the Kindle needs to re-index your books. I'd take a look to see if it's indeed doing this, and if so, wait for it to finish. The book you are reading may not have been processed yet.

Works just fine for me. I've just upgraded my PW to 5.3.5 and my in-book searches are working OK. Try restarting your Kindle and see if that helps.

I have done a hard reset, all the books are indexed but the search function still doesn't work on side loaded books with calibre anymore. And this appear after this update ....till then all searching was working.

I've just upgraded to 5.3.5, and the search works fine on books that are already on the Kindle. I see no reason why it would stop working when I'd load new books.

Hard reset: do you mean a reboot, or a factory reset? If you tried only the reboot, I'd do a factory reset and re-upload your books.
