All My Book Have Disappeared From the Kobo Desktop!
I just signed on to my Kobo desktop and all the books I have bought have disappeared!
Has this happened to anyone else? |

Sorry to hear that, Morgan. It's another good reason why you should store all your books in the excellent and free (or by voluntary donation) Calibe Library (download here http://www.calibre-ebook.com) That way, anything you lose from your device for any reason can be quickly and simply uploaded again. Good luck. Neil

Just a thought - did you click "Update Library" to download them?

Log into the KoboBooks web site and go to your Library.
The libarary has a Purchased tab and an I'm Reading tab. Be sure all your books are in the I'm Reading tab or they won't download to the desktop application. If they're missing from the I'm Reading tab, select them all in the Purchased tab and press bookmark. Now they'll copy to the I'm Reading tab and an Update Library from the desktop application will transfer them to the desktop app. ltr |

That's great, Ltr. Personally, though, I'd rather put my trust in Calibre for my own virtual library. I think most here would agree. Cheers. Neil

Agreed - I also have downloaded ePubs for all my purchased Kobo books for backup, even though I don't use them on my reader.
MorganM - another thought (something I might do). If your kobo account doesn't show your books on the website - did you perhaps accidentally create 2 Kobo accounts with different email addresses? |

Now that you have them back follow Neil's advice and make a back up copy so you can't lose them again.
