Ich hatte da bisher noch kein Problem - hab das aber auch schon längere Zeit nicht benutzt. Sicher, dass der Absturz nicht nur mit einer Feed-Quelle passiert?
Kovid hat in letzter Zeit ein paar "Fehler" behoben, die dazu führen konnten, dass der Reader sich neu startet, wenn der Feed (bzw. das erzeugte ePub) bestimmte Inhalte enthielt. So zum Beispiel Ticket #2029...

ich wuerde mir wuenschen dass der Reader bei ePub auch oben Titel/Author anzeigt.

Bei allen Formaten - waere es auch nciht schlecht, Kapitel / Titel & Author angezeigt zu bekommen.

Vielleichst sollte Sony auch ein SDK veroeffentichen - damit man eigene Erweiterungen dafuer basteln kann.

Der Rest passt ...

Ich bin nicht ganz sicher, was Du meinst. Meinst Du so eine Art "Kopfzeile" im Buch auf jeder Seite? Wenn ja, das kann der Reader nur in LRF und auch nur dann, wenn es direkt im Buch so hinterlegt ist. ePub ist da von der Spezifikation etwas ungenau, es gibt zwar eine Defintion für solche Kopfzeilen aber das beabsichtigte Handling der interpretierenden Software ist nicht genau beschrieben.

In jedem Fall sind die Kopfzeilen Geschmackssache. Ich persönlich mag die gar nicht. Als Ersatzmittel benutze ich die Lesezeichen, falls ich mal mehrere Bücher parallel lese. (Lesezeichentaste gedrückt halten bringt einen immer direkt in die Lesezeichen. Mann, bis ich das mal durch Zufall geblickt hatte...)

also ich bin sowas von unzufrieden, also wirklich; für gerade €300+Versand bekommst Du meinen

Danke für Deine Antwort - ich hab jetzt mit der aktuellen 0.5.2-Version mal ein paar Testläufe gemacht und leider klappt immer noch nicht alles. Hier mal meine Ergebnisse - vielleicht hat jemand eine tolle Idee?

Format LRF:

Zeit, Telepolis, FAZ, Toms Hardware, Engadget, Scientific American --> funktionieren gut, lassen sich direkt auf den Reader laden und lesen.

FTD, SZ und SiegelOnline führen zum Neustart des Readers, angeblich ein FirmwareProblem von Sony für das Calibre nix kann...

Format Epub:

alles funktioniert gut und schaut auch gut aus bis auf:
- SpiegelOnline: lädt nur die Headlines
- FAZ: bringt bei mir den Reader zum Freezen

insb. Spiegel ist mir wichtig weswegen ich hier diesen Aufstand starte
Könnte vielleicht mal jemand testen ob die Probleme bei ihm/ihr auch auftreten? Oder weiß jemand Rat...?

Wie gross sind die jeweiligen Dateien, die Calibre für die Onlinezeitungen generiert? Sonys aktuelle Firmware soll einen Buffer overflow bug haben, der bei zu grossen/komplexen(?) Dateien dazu führt, dass Dein Reader neu startet.

wie gesagt, das Problem mit dem Reset tritt nur bei den LRF-Dateien auf. Diese sind bei Spiegel Online ca. 0.3-0.5 MB groß - also denke ich mal nicht, dass das schon in eine Größenlimitierung reinrutscht.
Dazu sagt die Calibre FAQ folgendes:

This is a bug in the SONY firmware. The problem can be mitigated by switching the output format to EPUB in the configuration dialog. Alternatively, you can use the LRF output format and use the SONY software to transfer the files to the reader. The SONY software pre-paginates the LRF file, thereby reducing the number of resets.

Ich würde sowieso gerne die Nachrichten im EPUB lesen - allerdings funktioniert das Spiegel Online Recipe mit diesem Output leider nicht. Keine Ahnung warum - es werden nur die Headlines ohne Links etc angezeigt.
Die Nachrichten als LRF zu laden, dann zu speichern und mit der Sony Software zu importieren für die Übertragung macht den ganzen schönen Vorteil kaputt, morgens schnell die aktuellen RSS-Feeds für den Bus rüberzuschieben und scheidet daher als Lösung leider aus...

Wahrscheinlich macht es Sinn das Rezept nochmal im Custom Recipe-Unterforum nachzufragen oder? Ich kenn mich leider nicht annähernd mit der Materie aus

Frag da mal nach. Ich hatte anfangs auch einige Recipes erstellt, bin immer wieder hängen geblieben und habe dann bei Kovid nachgefragt.
(Die deutschen Recipes mit Kovid als Autor stammen quasi alle von mir, aber Kovid hatte die meiste Arbeit damit, da ich irgendwann beim Verbessern der Skripts immer gescheitert bin )

Im Custom Recipe-Unterforum gibt’s einige Profis, dann bleibt nicht alles an Kovid hängen. Und das ist auch gut so.
