I was used to this with the last Nook I had. So no problem. I haven't made up my mind whether I'll keep it or not.

For the record, Phoenix Dragon - who started this thread and has exactly ONE post to his credit - has never responded with anything whatsoever.
As so MANY members have indicated, I think we all understand how blatantly false his Subject Title is for this thread. |

Interesting to note -- though we DID jump down his throat for that thread, and may have scared him off! Just sayin......

When someone goes off on a rant without bothering to ascertain the facts of the situation first, it rarely results in harmonious agreement .

Are you suggesting the OP was not genuine?

It's the thread title that's false. The new homepage isn't being forced on anyone. It can simply be turned off.

I think we may have embarrassed the OP to death!

Ah. I think Drib means "inaccurate," and not "false," which might suggest the OP was being deliberately disingenuous, which I'm sure was not his intention.

I don't believe there was any kind of intent to cause anything in particular with the OP.
I think it was an honest post, in the heat of the moment, after seeing that new home view page. I think we all have jumped the gun once or twice in our life. I know I have. We get attached to our readers, like what we have set up. So he/she posted, many clarified. But I don't think its fair to attach any kind of intent to the OP of anything other than a post made in some small anger at changes they didn't like. Not sure if i'd come back to a thread like this after reading some of the responses. I might be embarrassed or just gun shy. |

I think you're probably correct. (Thanks.) -- He was probably frustrated and probably jumped the gun on his comment before he had a chance to explore the new features. However, he hasn't chosen to engage in any conversation - educational or otherwise. |
