Using tablet side as secondary display for laptop

Ok bear with me this is a crazy thought. So crazy I dont know whether to put this in feature request, help or development. Anyway.
I have a laptop and one thing I miss on my laptop is having a secundary display. Now this http://www.mmt2.com/ seems interesting but its a concept.

Then it hit me (ouch)

If we can use fancy stuff like teamviewer... I mean.. thats fancy. Would it *maybe* also be possible to use the tablet screen as a secondary (dual) monitor for the laptop? I mean, the edge can be positioned on the table like a laptop, I could put it right next to my laptop with the tablet screen oriented horizontally, the same as my laptop screen.

Pointers, hints anyone, should I search for software or hardware?

I can't think of any way to make this happen on Android yet, although it is available for the iPad. http://www.maxivista.com/ipad_monitor.htm

1. Build Virtual screen by this program
Windows http://www.zoneos.com/zonescreen.htm
OSX http://www.screenrecycler.com
2. Install VNC server on Win/OSX
3. Use VNC Client for second screen on EE/PE

Is this what you want?

That setup looks interesting, would it allow use of the touch screen to control the laptop as if it had a touch screen, for example to use a graphic drawing program and "paint" with fingers?
