Which is why I never leave my electronic gear in my car. That is really a shame, was it all insured, or are you just out of luck in that regard?

POOP isn't strong enough a word to describe this - at least you aren't insured and you've still got your girl and the car .....

This may be a place for that T*rd Nugget as opposed to poop!
Crap happens my friend, but sometimes it happens for a reason. I'm not going to give you that line about what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, because sometimes it leaves you maimed and angry. However, maybe just maybe there is a reason. Perhaps the hard drive had a virus on it that was about to infect your computer. Perhaps your girlfriend was about to get carpal tunnel syndrome from the blackberry. Maybe the iphone was broken beyond repair. And maybe you would have been walking across the street with your focus on the psp and you wouldn't have seen that truck coming right at you. Maybe they are all cursed. If that's the case, just imagine the aggravation you just caused the thief. |

oh, catire, i am so sorry !!! i recommend you use some much stronger words to express your feelings (even if you don't do it on the forum), that is usually cathartic for me. i hope that your insurance will cover these losses.

Oh i used much stronger words than poop outside of the forums And no my insuranse doesnt cover the loss of any of these items.
I never carry that many gadgets on me, just my book reader, the blackberry was going to a guy that would unlock it so my girlfriend could use it on her carrier, the iphone was going to a repair shop or just get sold for parts, the HD was full of convert dvds i backup for my father´s WDTV Media player. The PSP was missing before this happened, i left it in the car when i took it to a carwash and a mechanics. All of the items were imported because i couldnt afford them for the price they sell them here (Venezuela) and since my ·%$&!! government only allows me to buy $400 worth of things abroad with my credit card a year I wont be getting a reader or anything else anytime soon. I already spent this year´s 400 getting my girlfriend a camera for her birthday and a media player for miself. |

I can feel your pain since my EZ Reader was lost (or I suspect possibly stolen - not sure).
Fortunately I'm not subject to the $400 restriction & a new reader should be here on Monday. |

It´s $400(it used to be 1500 last year and 3000 the year before that) for online purchases with a credit card, $2500(5000 last year and i think 10000 the year before that) a year if you travel for credit card purchases and cash. And there´s other ammounts for students and people living abroad Cadivi(the government entity that regulates foreign exchange) began as a way to combat the ressesion caused by a strike from the government owned PDVSA in 2002. Our economy is based on oil exports and PDVSA is the largest oil company in venezuela so its strike basically crippled the economy in 2002-03. Also it´s to help the government to institute the revolution/socialism of the 21st century (just plain old comunism) in venezuela and keep the capitalist bastards from stealing the people´s money.
