The PRS-505 doesn't have a keyboard.

The casing/keys are a weakspot on the 505. When you drop the reader, the wiring inside the casing can get damaged, resulting in disfunctional keys...

As the wiring is litterally inside the casing, you can not fix the faulty wiring yourself as it is unreachable, you can only replace the entire casing. This also happened to me.

I know... But my case is much more trivial. During battery checkup I have damaged the ribbon connector and now I have to replace the entire casing...

I need only aluminium casing with buttons (whicz are glued to the casing), WITHOUT screen, and mainboard.

I can still take photos if you wish.
