SquareTrade's was - for me. For three years, if I drop it or spill a Pina Colada on it or it is ripped off, I have a replacement ready via SquareTrade. If the battery fails - even during completely normal use - that is covered, no deductible. About a buck a month for the SquareTrade 3-year warranty.

Does Amazon still use ServiceNet? I might use SquareTrade although I do see SquareTrader on other Amazon items being able to add to your cart. Which is better squaretrade or servicenet?

The SquareTrade warranty specifically excludes theft or loss:

"If Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) Protection was purchased, the Service Agreement expands to include damage from liquid spills, item drops, or any other accidental damage. ADH coverage begins 30 days after purchase, and does not cover willful damage, negligent use, theft or loss. A $50 deductible applies on ADH-related claims. ADH is not offered on all items."

Does ServiceNet include loss or theft? I can't decide which one to buy!

You may also want to check if your regular insurance covers theft, loss or damage. Many credit cards also have some build-in insurance but it's usually only for a limited time after purchase.

It does for 90 days.

I see Pros for each.

Pro for ServiceNet.... Call Amazon Directly And Be Transferred.
Pro for SquareTrade... if they can't fix they send check..get newest kindle.
