Editing a field you are sorting by resets the list. It is bad !
Hello,
I am renamimng my collection of books. It is really convenient to have them sorted by Tittle as tittles to be renamed are numerical and this sorting groups them together. However there is a problem: when you rename a Tittle Calibre resets the position of the list to the top. If you are many pages down from the top you have to manually move down to find your previous position again. What I ask is to sort the list after editing a tittle without repositioning. Thank you in advance Giuseppe Chillemi |

I support your suggestion...I'd prefer that resorting only occurs if you click on the header of a column....not after each change.

I see 2 issues here (and I agree it is annoying):
1) Really annoying is the loss of place in the list, when the screen jumps to line 1. It would be nice if Calibre could remember the current "Line" number in the view 2) Suspend the Resort on rename and simply require the user to trigger a manual Sort. The record does not automatically seek (Fly away) to it's new location Note: Adding new books leaves the new books at the Top (Line 1 to x) until something else triggers the sort. That would work. A "Suspend Sort" (leaves the order, just as it is) button that inhibits resorts while depressed (colored when pressed to remind us) |

Will be fixed in next release. (calibre won't resort when editing in the main gui)
