Hello from London, UK

Hello all.
This forum looks great
I have been using the sony reader for a few weeks now.
and after a short time have totally fallen for e-ink tech
I have managed to use up the $50 from sony and would love to aquire some connect gift tokens.
does anyone know the real, bottom line reason sony refuse to sell their reader in europe?

Welcome to MobileRead, david_fraser75, it is a great forum.

Unfortunately, none of us seem to be privy to their meetings, so no, we don't know. But we're pretty sure it has to do with book distribution rights (specifically, their only having them in the U.S.), and since having the Reader is, effectively, having access to the ConnStore as a distribution node ....

The good news is, lately there've been a few news items that would seem to suggest that they may be heading towards launching the Reader in England, anyway.

Hi there David. I hope you will enjoy the Reader despite the difficulties we Europeans face with the Connect store
