Books about the Cold War turning hot?
Back in the day, there seemed to be a fad for books about the Cold War going hot, usually with a Soviet invasion of West Germany.
Does anyone know of any similar books available as ebooks? First Clash by Kenneth Mackey is often recommend, but I can't find it in ebook form. If anyone can tell me where to find a copy I'd be very grateful. I've read the following, so please don't suggest them Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy Red Phoenix by Larry Bond Chieftains by Bob Forrest-Webb The Third World War by General Sir John Hackett The Untold Story by General Sir John Hackett Team Yankee by Harold Coyle Sword Point by Harold Coyle Red Army by Ralph Peters |

Apologies - I overlooked your list of "books that I've already read".

Proud Legions is an excellent military fiction book. Antal was a Lieutenant Colonel and served in Abrams. The book really shows his knowledge of the material. It is well worth reading in DTB.

Not sure if its available in ebook, but John Ball's THE FIRST TEAM is a pretty good technothriller about what happened after the US *lost* the Cold War to the Russians.

I may have read The Ten Thousand. I've certainly read some other Harold Coyle books, but I couldn't remember which ones, it was a long time ago. |

(I know this thread is several months old, but I'm posting here since people are likely to have notifications enabled.)
I've recently discovered The Red Effect by Harvey Black, and am currently reading it. So far, it's good. The author appears to know his stuff. There's a bias towards British units, probably because the author served with British Army intelligence. It's the first of a trilogy, but the other two books aren't out yet.
