S. M. Stirling's Dies the Fire trilogy

So has anyone here read "Dies the Fire" it is the first in a trilogy by S M Stirling; or any other Stirling books. Would you recomend them?

I liked it. But I like post-apocalyptic fiction. I loaned it to a friend for her son to read, and boy was he ticked when he found out I didn't have books 2 and 3 in print version! (only ebook) So I think that means he liked it enough to want to continue.

I read 'The Sky People' and thought it was fairly average, I don't plan to read anything else by him.

I've read the first two and now 2/3 through the third. Good reading, lots of action. To me they're hard to put down once started.
